Day 1: Thoughts/Personal Post

Lesson 1

Talk to your ideal customer as if you’ve known them for ages.  Getting personal and sharing some thoughts or a lesson you’ve learned in your fitness journey will cause your audience to connect with you. Maybe share some values you hold dear. Think of what might unite you and make you a perfect fit to work together!

Always get specific with your wording. Things like “not affordable” and “too expensive” aren’t the same thing!

For your corresponding stories, follow what’s called the REDIC Formula.  Here are some examples:

Relate: Real Talk: I used to think I had nothing to wear in the morning and would have anxiety because I didn’t think I looked good enough in any of my clothes.

Educate/Motivate: Well, I treated myself last night and this morning I woke up a little bloated.  Am I going to hate myself for it? No. My body is a gift. It does so much for me.  I’m no less powerful, strong, and worthy of love if my jeans are tighter today. I’ll just go about my day fueling it with healthy food and movement so it can go back to normal.

Dialogue: Add a Question Box so they can respond: How do YOU pull yourself out of those spin-outs??

Interact: Add a Poll - Anyone else had these meltdowns…?

Capture: Words can’t describe the gratitude I feel for the program that taught me how to rebuild my relationship with my body. The balance is FREEDOM and I think it shows. ????

For a photo: A personal photo or a well-lit mirror selfie is great!  I ALWAYS suggest BRIGHT, high-quality photos whenever possible. Find natural light, play with the settings on your phone camera for what looks best, and get a good editing app.  VSCO is a popular one with lots of options!

Make the stories and post a caption that fits you!  But FIRST, see how it's done…

Dear younger me,

If your friends make you feel like you shouldn’t be yourself, don’t change. Find new friends.

One of the BEST things that getting older has taught me is to hold on to people who see the best in me.  Who see more potential than I even see in myself, and want to see me thrive.

PS, talking bloating and wardrobe meltdowns in my stories today. I know… it happens to everyone, even fitness coaches. What is it they say? Everyone’s poop stinks? Something like that. ????????‍♂️
