Hello 2018!
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about 2018 and how this will be MY YEAR. I’m all about taking it to the next level and making this the year that my business takes off and I never look back.
I’d always heard that content was KING. That all I really needed to do was keep pumping content out and the rest would come.

Boy…did 2017 ever teach me that was not the case. Not because I tried it and it worked.
ย 
More because I didn’t try it and something else worked.
I have to admit – I am not that motivated to provide TONS of content. My preference has always been to write when I FEEL like it.
ย 
So what ACTUALLY worked for me is when I focused in on 5 specific areas of content, it became VERY motivating to write about and VERY easy to do in less time. And content WASN’T KING.
ย 
Finding my MAGICAL UNICORN was….writing about the things that make me SO ME and providing people with the lessons I’ve learnt.
ย 
So here are the 5 things that are SO MUCH easier to write about without having to PROVIDE a bunch of mind-numbing content.

1. What’s it like to WORK WITH YOU?

Tell your people what’s it like to work with you. What can they expect from you? Let people GET TO KNOW you. (aka – I’m a hard-ass but I want you to achieve your goals as much as you do). Your brand is an introduction of yourself before you officially meet someone and if someone will WANT to get to know you better.

2. What’s your SWEET SPOT?

Differentiate yourself in the sea of sameness. What makes you different from all the other experts out there? What makes you a magical unicorn? Certain events in our lives are what shape us into the thriving individuals we are today. These events often lead us to our careers and are what differentiate us from the rest. We all lead different lives and therefore have different stories.

3. What are your VALUES?

Telling your PEOPLE who you are! You need to align your tribe to deliver the best experience for that group of individuals. It’s likely that you want to work with people that have similar values to you, so, what are those values? Shout them from the rooftops and YOUR PEOPLE will come and want to hear everything you have to say.

4. What’s your STORY?

You can build authentic trust with your audience by telling your story. Why should they trust you? Telling your story and expressing the challenges that brought you to where you are now in your career is what makes you stand out and what makes you worthy of your audienceโ€™s trust.

5. Who’s your IDEAL CUSTOMER?

Tell your audience who you want to work with. When you tell your audience who you are looking for (aka people looking to make a life change, etc), they will flock to you! They will see you are speaking directly to them and want to be a part of your tribe.

These 5 areas have been a lifesaver for me. Not only have they attracted more people than I’ve ever attracted before but I felt like NO CONTENT was needed. The answers were already within me and there is something so beautiful and poetic about being able to pull that out.
