Withing the past year, women from around the world stepped up and took a stand against a form of almost institutional sexual harassment that has existed for some time. This was spawned when Ashely Judd spoke up after facing unwanted sexual advances from Harvey Weinstien. This stand created a movement where many finally stepped up against what they had felt was unjust and unfair. This group of women broke the sir of silence that has surrounded this type of sexual harassment. Therefore, the Silence Breakers have been named Time’s 2017 Person of the Year.
