The little-known fact here is that it takes an extremely specific diet and a huge number of calories to bulk up and gain muscle. It will never happen by accident.

This is highly inaccurate and actually detrimental to the health of women. We need to resistance train to stay strong and healthy. It also helps us maintain our muscles which can lose with age if we aren’t using them.

Weight training allows the body to do many things, including reducing the risk of diabetic complications from overproduction of insulin.

Weights, even light weights or body weight exercises are shown to greatly improve health. These exercises are even shown to reduce bone loss and structural deficiencies that occur as our bodies age by almost repairing the damage that has been done.

Overall, many studies have shown the benefits of weight training and how important it is to our overall health so don’t be afraid to lift!
